Birmingham, which is situated in the w midlands, is the 2nd biggest city in the uk. in fact, the city's vast population is 2nd only to that of the capital.

Most of birmingham's city centre was destroyed during the 2nd world war, and unsightly replacement structures were hastily built. although, since the nineties, Birmingham has been undergoingmany significant changes and a number of the post-war structures have been rebuilt. the majority of the city centre is pedestrianized now, and the canals have also been tidied up to make them image prettier.

Birmingham is a prevailing, buzzing & cosmopolitan city. With vibrant art galleries, wonderful hotels, wonderful shopping opportunities & individual tourist attractions, its a wonderful place to visit for a short break or holiday.

Birmingham also boasts some superb architecture to look at, which contain the Bullring shopping centre. The Bullring was built at a cost of £500 million by Benoy & is a beautiful, futuristic structure.

For an interesting and entertaining day out in birmingham for the whole family, you should visit some of birmingham's interesting museums or art galleries. The city has some wonderful ones, comprising of Cadbury World. Cadbury World, the uk's only museum that's dedicated to chocolate, takes chocoholics through the complete chocolate making process & there are always many delicious samples to try!

Some of the other art galleries & museums we love are the national sea life centre, west midlands safari park & the ikon gallery, which has wonderful pieces.

As you might already know, birmingham is home to the Bullring mall, which ensures it is the ideal city for fans of shopping to visit. indeed, the Bullring has over 110,000 square feet of retail space, which boasts some excellent shops such as skechers, agent provocateur, & principles.

On the other hand, there are plenty of stores in the city centre, too. you will find some top shops located on the high street, as well as sometimes superb independent shops in The Custard Factory, which is situated in an old custard factory.

If you are lucky enough to be spending the night in Birmingham, you should take advantage of the city's playful sports. The city has everything from rustic public houses and vip bars to massive night clubs, which means that you'll discover there's something for everyone to enjoy.

It goes without saying that birmingham has branches of much major hotel chains including comfort inn and radisson sas. This means that you can relax after your grand evening out with a fabulous sleep.

As it's situated in the middle of england, getting to birmingham is easy. birmingham new street train station offers regular rail connections to and from various places throughout britain. as well as this, it is also easily accessed by road.

If you'd like to fly to Birmingham, you can fly into Birmingham International Airport. The airport is just 5.5. miles from city centre birmingham.
