Business cards evolved from a simple visit cards to something much more comprehensive and vital for any business. A business card should not only make great impression but carry important information. There are a few things you can consider when printing your new business cards in order to make them perfect.

Names.
The names printed on the card are probably the most important part. Your name and your business name should drag the attention. Of course you don't need to use a very large fonts or extraordinary colors to do this, but to carefully consider their place.

The business name usually stays at the top of the card, while your name (and position in the company) can be in the middle or at the bottom of the card. The position of your name is usually defined by your position in the company. Sales representatives or marketing consultants usually have their names clearly printed in the middle of the card.

Postal Address.
The street address of a business is usually included in the business card. However on some occasions it can be skipped and replaced by a web address only.

The postal address can be printed anywhere on the card. The only thing to consider is if you want it to be prominent or more subtle.

Prone numbers, website address, email.
The phone, fax numbers, the website address and the email address are part of a business card as well. Similar to the address they can be positioned according their priority. Some businesses prefer to have their phones in bigger font than their postal or web addresses for example.

Images.
Since a business card is quite small and contains a lot of information usually there is no space left for images. However this doesn't mean that only plain cards exist.

You can add can mage as long as it fits well in the overall design and conveys the message you want to pass with your card. However be very careful with the use of images as if you use too much the card will look funny. Moreover since the small size of the images they should be with perfect quality.

Design.
The overall design of the card depends on the impression you want to create. Yes, it is not really a matter of your taste.

If you have a party planning company that caters mainly to children, than you may want funkier, even childish design. If your company is in the construction business however you will need a sleek, serious look.

The design has many elements and all of them should be considered. In fact this is the tricky part of any business card creation. If you are unsure what colors to use, or what your design should be either go for something simple and basic (like your company logo, name and address) or go to a professional studio to create the design for you.
