I admit. I masturbate. I know a lot of women do, but are embarrassed to tell. None of my friends even talk about the topic so I never dare tell them that I do. What's worse -- I can't talk to my friends about the idea of buying and owning a sex toy. I grew up in a conservative environment, where sex is taboo. Yet I have always indulged myself in "running my fingers" for fun and pleasure.
I always had the notion that sex toys are for the immoral or that it was for women whose partners were just not doing it for them. But I must admit, when I came across sex toys once over the Internet, my mind raced through the idea of using one but never had the courage to explore more than just to look at it and fantasize about having one.
Fear of the unknown and what society will think of me may have prevented me from experiencing other levels of pleasure.
My first toy was a stick vibrator -- purchasing it was a nerve wracking experience. It could be true that the first time will always be the hardest and that the fear disappears as you go along.
Fortunately, I was hidden behind my computer monitor.
After a few weeks, I got bored with it and figured it just was not cutting it out for me. I bought another and another as I was becoming more brazen, until I realized that I had more than half a dozen in my vibe collection. I have to admit that there are times I laid off sex because of my toys, but I always come around and want the real deal. I do not use the vibrators only when I am single or not dating anybody. In fact, I have used these toys with my partner.
He loved how open I was with experimenting and trying out something new. In fact, it somehow eased the burden because the responsibility of giving me pleasure was some how lifted from their shoulders.
Further research and exploration presented me with the idea of using sex toys on my partner, like masturbation sheaths. At first, my partner would feel uncomfortable; others even hated the idea. But when they realized that sex toys could enhance their own pleasure and prolong an orgasm, they opened up and even bought one for themselves.
Even if I found sex dolls freaky at first, I realized it was just almost the same as when I named my favorite vibrator, Penny. With novelty sex toys, like those clitoris stimulators, beaded penis rings and flavored lubricants, sexual intercourse has never been better for me and my partner. This is not my way of saying that you should force your partners to experiment with sex toys. Keep in mind that some people find it insulting.
It could be a big crush to their ego as they might think that they are sexually inadequate.
I have outgrown my fear of the unknown and have delved into the pleasurable world of sex toys. It is my suggestion that other people should do the same.
