A European company specializing on mattresses announced recently that they would be mounting an advertising campaign for their new line of bedroom products. Kaymed one of the leaders in their mattress production will be showcasing their new Sleep Spa lineup at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The company said that thousands of people arriving at the said airport will be surprised with an upscale queen-sized mattress which will be displayed atop a carousel. The presence of the mattress is aimed to remind weary travelers that sleep is very important.
The first move that has been taken by the company using this marketing campaign was slated to coincide with the opening of the 2008 Furniture Market. The said event is expected to draw over 65,000 visitors into Las Vegas. The event started last January 25 and has drawn exhibitors from around the world including five companies from Peru. The event will be running until the first day of February.
The Sleep Spa mattress which is on display at the McCarran International Airport will juts serve as a teaser for travelers who will be attending the event. Kaymed will also be displaying its other products at the Furniture Market. The company's move to advertise the Sleep Spa bed vigorously is part of its ongoing expansion in the United States market.
The company's Chief Executive Officer Conor Sheahan said: "What better place in the world to remind people of the importance of sleep? They say New York is the city that never sleeps, but Las Vegas is the place where the action never stops. But take heed weary road warrior or party animal, a good night's sleep is still necessary for you to enjoy all that action."
The Sleep Spa bed in display at the McCarran International Airport is one of the seven new products that Kaymed has developed for the United States furniture market. Even with the economy showing signs of slowing down, the company saw it fit that they introduce new product for American consumers. The company seemed not be fazed by the declining sales of furniture and fixtures in the country including other home accent pieces such as garden fountains.
According to the company, the new line of bedroom furniture pieces has been designed to offer uncompromised comfort and convenience for their consumers. Kaymed further pointed out that the new line of mattresses are offered in varying surfaces so that consumers will have the chance to pick the right one for their sleeping needs.
