The Denver, NC lacrosse club team is now entering it's fifth year as a club team. As a club team, the Denver, NC lacrosse team faces a lot of adversity and does not have the facilities or program that many school teams in the area it competes against.
However, the Denver lacrosse team features many talented players who love the game and play every game with a lot of heart. While it competes against many high school teams such as Morganton Freedom, Ardrey Kell, Myers Park, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Hickory High andothers, the Denver lacrosse team is a club team that competes very favorably.
This years team is very young, with most of the players either being freshmen or sophomores. But the team has a very good nucleus of players that have been playing together all through middle school. This core group of kids have had much success in the past, and 3 years ago won 11 straight games.
This year will be interesting because of the youth on the team, and they will be competing against other teams that have much more experience. Denver will have to rely on this young group, as many of last years players graduated.
We will be adding a blog so that others can follow the escapades of this rag tag bunch of lacrosse players. Although we might be undermanned, this team has a lot of heart and will be very competitive on the field.
Here's to hoping Denver Lacrosse has a safe and prosperous lacrosse season.
