If your current dental providers do not include orthodontists, you should first try to locate one that will be a good fit for you. Speak with your dentist about this and ask him if he can recommend any. If he doesn't have any recommendations, you can always talk to friends and family of those who have agreed to be metal mouths.
Get a couple of opinions from a couple of Orthos. This will give you a better feel for the doctor. It shouldn't cost you anything for the initial consultation so make sure to find one that you feel good about.
Finding A Lower Price On Dental Work
Usually, the average cost for braces for both the lower and upper teeth comes in at around $5,000. Obviously this price varies depending on the level of experience of the orthodontist and the location. Make sure that you find out the price before you act on anything.
This price might be a bit much for the average patient to pay, and in most cases will not be covered by dental insurance unless there is a health related issue involved. This can leave some wishing to have treatment, left behind.
